This system reads information about how you are riding and delivers power appropriately in real time, resulting in a ride that feels completely natural. The motor will read information such as the torque exerted on the cranks when the user pedals, the gradient and speed. It will then calculate how much power the motor should produce to supplement the rider's pedalling. Brakes and gears on the Connect are also produced by esteemed manufacturer Shimano. The Bike features the Alfine hydraulic disc brake system to the front and rear wheels that enables highly responsive stopping power in all conditions. The Shimano Deore 9-speed gears and premium derailleur system provides smooth gear changes with a push or pull of the handlebar mounted levers. All components throughout this Electric Bike are selected for quality, included are Kevlar strengthened tyres by Kenda and 700c rims by Alexrims. Even the mudguards have been chosen for their strength and flexibility from German manufacturer, SKS.
